Cimex, Nepal’s authorized BYD automobile dealer, intends to debut the company’s latest electric vehicle.

According to Cimex, BYD S2 Plus will be an all-new BYD SUV, drastically different from anything seen in the past. With that stated, let’s consider the specs of the BYD S2 PLUS in Nepal.

BYD S2 PLUS Overview

Design

The BYD S2 Plus has a uniquely athletic appearance, ‘Dragon Face 3.0’. The BYD S2 Plus is a good mixture of traditional SUV styles matched with modern aesthetics.

It’s a swept-back hatchback with a low front and a tail that sweeps upward from the side. The slim LED headlamps produce a contour that exaggerates this model’s breadth, providing a premium look undertone with its satin garnish. It has a sloping hood for increased aerodynamics with an aggressively designed bumper and powerful air intakes.

The side profile seems to be more straightforward. It features traditional creases and lines.

The chromed window border textured C-pillar, and attractive alloy wheels, on the other hand, make the side profile stand out.

The rear part features an all-new LED Tail Lamp that spans the entire width.

Similarly, a stunning muscular bumper is added to the rear profile.

The interior profile is heavily inspired by musical instruments and is based on the “Rhythm” motif.

Similarly, there are futuristic and modern aspects on the inside. Premium seats, a roomy interior, and cutting-edge technology are all expected.

Performance

BYD S2 Plus will be available in two variants: Standard and Extended Range.

The BYD S2 PLUS is powered by a 150 kWh lithium-ion battery paired to a Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) capable of 204PS and 310 Nm of torque. The standard variant is fueled with a 49.9kWh Blade battery. On a full charge, the car has a range of 320 kilometers. Moreover, the Extended range variant comes with a 60.48kWh blade battery with an estimated range of 420km.

Both variants can support up to 80kW DC Fast Charging. That can charge 30-80% SOC in 30 minutes.

S2 Plus is based on the new BYD e-Platform 3.0.

The measurements are 4455mm long, 1875mm wide, and 1615mm tall, with a ground clearance of 175-185mm. Furthermore, the kerb weight ranges from 1615 kg to 1690 kg.

Similarly, the wheelbase is 2720mm.
