They use public transit for the trip. But in today’s world, human beings have had a fascination for travel with their private car. Buying a car is, therefore, one of the greatest moments for a family. Nepali national as well want to make their life comfortable. There are different brands of cars in Nepal. The price of a car in Nepal is varied according to their brands.

The brands of car in Nepal are also different. Some of the favorite brands are Honda, Ford, Volkswagen, TATA, Fiat, Skoda, Hyundai, Mahindra and many more. These brands have their particular properties which made them famous. Each brand consists of a different model. The new models of each brand are also according to their upgraded properties as compared to other countries the price of a car in Nepal is a little high. In Nepal, the interest rate on auto loan has come down to 8 percent from 16. But the tax increases from 30,000 NRS to 40,000 NRS. “The high import duty on vehicles has made automobiles expensive in Nepal,” said Saurabh Jyoti immediate past president of the Nepal Automobile Dealers’ Association (Nada).

According to Nada general secretary Gopi Neupane, the penetration of vehicle in Nepal is low as compared to other countries. Less than 1 percent of the total population owns the car whereas 4 percent rides a motorcycle. Because of the less cost, most people ride a bike. People from the high-class family were able to use a car. But the festive schema and discount offer help to get a car at the adorable price.

As compared to previous years the numbers of the car owner are increases. The need for a private vehicle is necessary to the people now. Not in a rapid way but slowly it is increasing. If the ratio of buying a car is growing in the same order after a decade the number of car owner in Nepal is the same as the other countries. And it will be their necessity after some years. This results in the development of the country as well.
