Pathao is a digital platform providing ride-sharing, food delivery, parcel delivery, and many more.
Whereas Tootle is also a ride-sharing application developed in Nepal where one can take hassle-free rides anywhere inside Kathmandu valley.
The government has implemented the odd-even system in private vehicles, and Pathao and Tootle have also started ride-sharing.
Although the injunction has not been fully lifted, the government is making some concessions.
However, ride-sharing has not been smooth. The rider is not available as usual.
Ride-sharing operators say that many riders have gone out of the valley due to the ban and have not returned yet.
Many riders are still out of the valley because of the ban.
Even if some return, some are yet to return. Because of this, the number of riders has decreased.
The number of riders is less now than before, adding that only about 20 to 30 percent of riders are currently in service.
Demand for this specialty has grown significantly as a result of recent corporate scandals.
Not all offices, including schools and colleges, are open.
In this case, the number of ride-sharing has decreased.
The ride was not going well as the situation was not normal yet.
Most of the people are out of the valley, and some are working from home. Some areas are still closed.
Due to this, the demand has also decreased to some extent.
Although there haven’t come any problem with the ride, the same riders are doing more rides because the demand has also decreased. ‘
It could not immediately comment on the number of Pathao rides.
A meeting of the Chief District Officers of the Kathmandu Valley on June 22 had decided to relax the ban.
As the ban was relaxed, ride-sharing platform Tootle-Pathao was also allowed to operate.
