2nd June 2026, Kathmandu
Everest Engineering College, a premier institution recognized for its top-tier undergraduate and postgraduate engineering programs in Nepal, has marked a significant milestone.
Everest AWS Student Builders Group
On May 31 (Jeth 18), the college officially established the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Student Builders Group (SBG) during a special event.
This initiative is set to open international corridors of practical tech exposure for Nepalese engineering students.
What is the Objective of the AWS Student Builders Group?
The primary goal of this AWS initiative is to bridge the gap between academic theory and industry demands. The student-led group will actively focus on cutting-edge technologies, including:
-
Cloud Computing
-
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)
-
Cyber Security
-
Emerging Digital Technologies
To achieve this, the group will organize hands-on workshops, technical seminars, hackathons, and practical learning sessions within the college.
Learning Beyond the Classroom: College Administration’s Vision
Inaugurating the event, the College Principal, Prof. Dr. Hari Krishna Shrestha, congratulated the newly appointed executive members. He highly commended their plan to run activities outside of regular class hours.
“Student programs conducted outside of class hours do not interfere with regular academic schedules or other extra-curricular activities. It naturally filters out those who join just for leisure, attracting students who are genuinely eager to learn and actively contribute. This will ensure the success and sustainability of the Student Builders Group,” said Prof. Dr. Shrestha.
Furthermore, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Everest Engineering College, Mr. Arun Kumar Bhandari, extended his best wishes and assured full institutional and administrative support for all upcoming events of the group.
