Facebook Is Working For More In AI

Well everyone is busy focusing on the evolution of technology in the digital world. With every achievement made there are more expectations from the future. Companies like Facebook, Google, Microsoft, and apple are still creating histories even with their small successes.
It’s not just about innovation but about how significant impact they are making in society. However, they haven’t stopped with changes in their creations. Recently Facebook brought an App which is powered by artificial intelligence. The app will recognize your face from the photos you have clicked mainly in the groups.
You can then share the photos, which are grouped by occasion, directly with those people through the app.  It has put Facebook one step ahead in the competition of artificial intelligence. Its a fun app for sharing group photos as it will recognize which picture it belongs to.
The name of the app is  Moments, and this app uses facial recognition technology which was developed by the Team of Facebook’s artificial intelligence research lab. They are also working for other prospects of Artificial intelligence like voice recognition, natural language processing, and detecting faces and objects in images.
Yann LeCun is an expert in a type of machine learning called deep learning which is also leading the project with other 50 researchers. If Facebook were to master in artificial intelligence, it would be able to know what people want to read in their news feed which will make a more smarter approach to your news feed, so there is still a long way for Facebook to go.
With the moment’s app, you can get those photos you don’t have but are with your friends. You can also organize your photos in a single private place. You can group them either by date or by the presence of anybody specific in the pic. You will also be able to share your pics with your friends.
Facebook is also broadening its research for helping the blinds ones with collaboration with its artificial intelligence research lab. However, it’s not like facebook intention to mine data of the users which will violate the user’s privacy. As this AI will get evolved with time and effort, it will be able to do some significant thing that we didn’t think of it being able to do.
Like AI will be able to look through some photos and babies and select the best one. Or it will be able to provide users their most wanted news in the news feed. These technology giants competing for AI will inevitably result in something huge in the coming years. The most important thing is they are investing all lot for this, and it is expected to be useful.
Now with the start of Artificial intelligence research lab by Facebook, it has already started making some significant impacts. However, Facebook is not just investing in AI. AI is one of Facebook’s three big long-term technology bets. With devices like Oculus and internet.org, it is going to make a big difference in the coming years.
