Now in Nepal, you need to get a license in order to provide a tracking system service.

The Nepal Telecom Authority (NTA) will issue a license to provide such a service. NTA spokesperson Min Prasad Aryal has told that NTA has recommended this to the government.

Until now, only the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has received permission to do so. Anyone had to get permission from the Ministry to link to such a device.

If the decision is taken as per the recommendation of NTA, from now on, any service provider would be able to take permission and link the device at the customer level.

Aryal said that if the decision is taken as proposed by NTA, the obligation of each user to visit the Ministry for permission will be terminated and easy access will be provided.
