Girl-To-Code was an initiative of LOCUS in association with Girls In Tech – Nepal to encourage young girls in technology. This program was a two-day boot camp on cloud computing and technical leadership development. The program was targeted to female students as the name suggests, who are studying at the Engineering and IT colleges of Nepal. The participants, at the end of the boot camp, gained the basic knowledge of Cloud Computing and Amazon Web Services (AWS). They knew about the career prospects in AWS and Cloud Computing from experts. They will also be benefitted from the leadership and presentation skills training which ultimately is a great addition to the technical career ahead.
The training was of two phases:
1. Training on Cloud Computing.
2. Training on technical leadership.

Venue: Library Hall, Pulchowk Campus
Days: 2 day Bootcamp
Time: 10 am to 4 pm
The number of participants: 58 from different engineering and IT colleges.
Perk to the Participant: All the participants will have a $100 Free Credit on Amazon Web Services which is valid for 1 year.
Winner: Tasks were assigned at the end of the session for the participants and the one with the best task performer was awarded an almost full scholarship for an online course from Springboard.
Trainers: They had 2 trainers on cloud computing and 1 trainer on technical leadership from the Genese Cloud Academy.
