Machhapuchhre Bank has launched a QR code service in Hong Kong Bazaar, Pokhara Taxi Service, and Shree Complex at Siddhartha Chowk, Pokhara.
The bank has brought it into operation simultaneously everywhere since Friday.
Puskar Surkhali, General Director of Nepal Rastra Bank, and Roshan KC, Director of the Bank jointly inaugurated the Hong Kong Bazaar in Pokhara’s New Bazaar on Friday.

With the launch of this service, customers who go to Hong Kong Bazaar and Shree Complex to buy vegetables, fruit, and other cosmetic products will be able to buy vegetables using a mobile banking application.
Similarly, taxi customers operating under Pokhareli Taxi Entrepreneur will be able to pay taxi fares using QR instead of cash.
