Nepal Electricity Authority closed the counter on Saturday with the start of online payment service.

According to the authority, at present, payment can be made through online payment using various service provider companies every day from 10 am to 12 pm.

Earlier, in the absence of online payment facilities, counters were operated on Saturdays as an additional concession keeping in mind the crowd of electricity consumers while paying bills.

Now, with the provision of payment through online payment, such counters will be closed from the 1st of Kartik.

“With the availability of online payment, there is no need to keep the electricity fee collection counter which is being operated during the days open at present”, stated the notice issued by NEA on Asoj 11. The toll collection counter, which was operating on Saturdays, will be closed from Kartik 1st.
