Nabil Bank Launches Nepal–India Cross-Border P2P Remittance via nBank App

Nabil Bank launched the Nepal–India–Nepal Cross-Border Person-to-Person (P2P) Remittance Service yesterday, enabling customers to send and receive money instantly between Nepal and India through secure digital channels.

With this service, Indian citizens with Nabil Bank accounts can instantly send money to their family and friends in India via the Nabil Bank mobile banking app, nBank. Similarly, Nepali and Indian citizens can send money instantly to Nabil Bank account holders in Nepal, making cross-border transfers easier and faster.
According to the bank, the service is designed to make cross-border money transfer simple, safe, and convenient for customers in both countries. Manoj Gyawali, Chief Executive Officer of Nabil Bank, said, “This service is an important step in making cross-border payments faster and easier. It reflects our commitment to improving digital banking services and enhancing customer convenience in Nepal and India.”
The transaction limits for the service have been set to ensure both flexibility and regulatory compliance. For Nepal to India transfers, customers can send up to INR 15,000 per day and INR 100,000 per month. For India to Nepal transfers, customers can send up to INR 200,000 per day, with no monthly restrictions.
The service is supported by Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL) in Nepal and the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) in India, ensuring secure and smooth transactions between the two countries.
