Nepal Telecom Activates 7 More BTS Towers in Flood-Hit Rasuwa and Nuwakot Districts

Nepal Telecom (NTC) has successfully restored mobile services in seven additional flood-affected locations today (August 31, 2026 / Bhadra 14, 2083). With these restorations, the majority of mobile Base Transceiver Station (BTS) sites in the flood-hit regions are now fully operational.
According to Nepal Telecom, the newly activated sites include:
Rasuwa District: Rasuwa Border, Upper Shenzhen, Chhapthoke, Jipjipe, and Gatlang BTS sites.
Nuwakot District: Charghare and Charghare Mulabari BTS sites.
Coverage Area Details:
Rasuwa Border BTS: Restores connectivity across the Nepal–China border, Timure, Rasuwa Border Corridor, and the Syaphrubesi to Bhote Koshi Corridor.
Upper Shenzhen BTS: Covers Chilime, Lamagaun, and Ward No. 5 of Amachhodingmo Rural Municipality.

Chhapthoke BTS: Connects Betrawati, Kauli, Trishuli 3B, Uttargaya Rural Municipality, and Kispang.
Jipjipe BTS: Provides network coverage to Wards 2 and 5 of Kalika Rural Municipality, Dharapani, and Deuralidanda.
Gatlang BTS: Serves Gatlang, Goljung, Chilime, Thulo Bharkhu, Sherpa Gaun, Thulo Syaphru, Syaphrubesi, Khangjum, and Barim.
Charghare & Charghare Mulabari BTS: Restores mobile services in Wards 12 and 13 of Bidur Municipality.
Nepal Telecom reaffirmed its commitment to providing uninterrupted connectivity during disasters, with technical teams actively working on the ground to maintain and upgrade services across all affected regions.
