Nepal Telecom Employees Donate Over NPR 20 Million For Bhote Koshi Flood Victims

Nepal Telecom employees have donated NPR 2,02,26,066 to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support relief and rehabilitation for Rasuwa’s Bhote Koshi flood victims. MD Sangita Pahadi presented the contribution to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle, with additional corporate assistance planned in the coming days.
Nepal Telecom Employees Donate 20 Million
In a major humanitarian effort, employees of Nepal Telecom (NTC) have collectively contributed NPR 2,02,26,066 (over NPR 2 crore) to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
The contribution is directed toward emergency relief, rescue operations, and long-term rehabilitation for citizens affected by the recent floods along the Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa district.
The financial aid was formally handed over on Bhadra 22 by Nepal Telecom’s Managing Director, Sangita Pahadi (Aryal), to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle.

Upcoming Corporate Support from Nepal Telecom
While the initial NPR 2.02 crore donation represents the personal initiative and voluntary contributions of NTC’s staff, the state-owned telecom operator confirmed that corporate-level assistance will follow shortly.
During the handover event, Managing Director Sangita Pahadi stated that Nepal Telecom will provide additional institutional support within a few days to assist government efforts in restoring damaged communications infrastructure and aiding disaster relief.
Supporting Relief Efforts in Rasuwa
The flash floods triggered by the swollen Bhote Koshi River caused heavy damage to infrastructure, residences, and local livelihoods in Rasuwa.
The funds handed over to the government relief fund will help mobilize essential resources, supply emergency provisions, and rehabilitate displaced families in the affected regions.
