Asia Pacific Innovation Challenge

Nepali youth Bishal Panthi becomes the winner of the Asia Pacific Innovation Challenge 2022. 19-year-old Panthi from Arghakhanchi emerged as the winner in the stability in the business category among various competitions organized by AIESEC.

Panthi prepared a prototype of an environment-friendly ‘paper cup’ under his project.

He says, “Environment friendly ‘paper cup’ can be made especially from algae. The algae should be ground into small pieces. In this process, the algae are prepared in such a way that the cup is waterproof and thermal resistant.”

Representatives of leading technology companies participated as judges in the competition.  Several representatives from Google, World Economic Forum, World Health Organization, etc. played the role of judges in deciding the winner.

 Panthi received grants worth 500 dollars (about Rs. 66,500) from various organizations. The winner has recently passed Plus Two from Kathmandu Model Secondary School.
