Motorola announced and released a brand new Motorola Moto E (3rd gen) smartphone in July 2015 that comes up with an Android OS v5.1.1 (Lollipop) that is upgradable to v6.0 (Marshmallow). This phone supports GSM/ HPSA/ LTE/ CDMA network configurations.
This phone has a dimension of 142.1 x 72.4 x 11.6 mm (5.59 x 2.85 x 0.46 in) having a thickness of 11.6 mm and weighs about 155 grams. It uses Micro-SIM technology. The phone comes with IPX7 certified water resistant up to 1 meter and 30 minutes technology. The display is of 16 M colors and has IPS LCD capacities touchscreen.
The screen size is 5.0 inches, and the screen-to-body ratio is 67.0%. The screen resolution is 720 x 1280 pixels which are precisely 294 PPI pixel density. It supports multi touch and comes up with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It has got Qualcomm MSM 8916 Snapdragon 410 chip-sets and CPU comprises of Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 processors.
The GPU used is Adrenal 306. The internal memory available is 8 GB and contains 1 GB RAM and 16 GB that includes 2 GB RAM. It also supports micro SD slot that could be upgraded up to 32 GB(dedicated slot).
The primary camera comprises of a 13 MP, f/2.0, autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash, the camera having the features like Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, and auto-HDR. The video quality is 1080 p@30 fps, HDR while the secondary camera is 5 MP, f/2.2 auto-HDR camera.

It also comes with accelerometer and proximity sensors. The battery used is a Non-removable Li-Po 2470 mAh battery. The colors available are Black and White. The available models are Motorola Moto G (Gen 3) and Motorola Moto G3.
The main disadvantages of this phone are there are No Wi-Fi ac support, No NFC, No stereo speakers like the previous gen Moto G had them. The battery is a Non-removable battery. The Moto Maker is available in select markets at launch, and the phone has poor video codec support.
