HT C announced the new HTC Desire 826 dual sim smartphone in January 2015 and released it on March the same year that comes up with an Android OS v5.0.1 (Lollipop) which is planned to upgrade to v6.0 (Marshmallow).
This phone has a dimension of 158 x 77.5 x 8 mm (6.22 x 3.05 x 0.31 in) with 8 mm thickness and weighs about 183 grams. This phone supports GSM/ HSPA/ LTE network configurations. It uses Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) technology. The display is of 16 M colors and has Super LCD 3 capacities touchscreen. Screen size is 5.5 inches, and the t-to-body ratio is 68.1%. The screen resolution is 1080 x 1920 pixels which is precisely 401 PPI pixel density.
It supports multi-touch and comes up with HTC Sense UI 6.0. It has got Qualcomm MSM 8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset and CPU comprises of Quad-core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 processors. The GPU used is Adreno 405. The internal memory available is 16 GB containing 2 GB RAM. It also supports micro SD slot that could be upgraded up to 128 GB (dedicated slot).
The primary camera comprises of a 13 MP, autofocus, LED flash camera while secondary comprises of 13 MP, f/2.0, 27 mm, 1080 p@30fps and 4 MP, f/2.0, 27 mm, 1/3″ sensor size, 2µm pixel size, 1080 p@30 fps, HDR on the HK model whereas 13 MP, 1080 p on the India model. The camera features include Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, and HDR. The video feature includes 1080 p@30 fps and 720 p@60 fps.
The microphone jack is 3.55 mm with Dolby Audio and has got stereo loudspeakers. The WLAN supported are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, and hotpots. The Bluetooth version is v4.1, A2DP, apt-X. It also comes with NFC connection and the GPS technology used is A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS (market dependent). The browser available is HTML 5. It also contains FM radio.
It also comes with compass, accelerometer and proximity sensors. The USB available is micro USB v2.0. The messaging can be performed via MMS, SMS threaded view, Email and Push mail. The battery used is Non-removable Li-Po 2600 mAH battery that gives up to 626 h (2 G) / up to 687 h (3 G) standby and talks time 22 h (2 G) / up to 19 h(3 G). The colors available are White Birch, Blue Lagoon, Marshmallow White, Dark Grey, and Purple Fire.
