Data Center in Kohalpur Municipality

The National Information Technology Center (NITC) is set to set up a new data center at Kohalpur in Banke.

NITC, the body that operates data centers for government agencies, is planning to build new data centers. With government agencies in the western region in mind.

According to NITC, about 8,500 square feet of land in Kohalpur Municipality Ward No. 11 of Banke District has been taken for the data center. Ramesh Kumar Pokhrel, Assistant Director and Spokesperson of the Center said that a data center will be set up on the same land in the coming days.

‘There is a plan to build a data center in Kohalpur. By connecting dark fiber for internet connection from the western region. We have already taken land for the data center, ”Pokhrel said.

He said that a new data center will be set up in the coming days as soon as the budget comes. He said that the data center will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and will work under a multi-year plan.

According to the center, the land is being sought for setting up a new data center in Butwal.
