Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is continuing its liquidity absorption measures to manage excess liquidity within the Nepalese banking system.

The central bank has issued a notice announcing the absorption of NPR 60 Billion through a deposit collection instrument.

- Total Absorption Amount: NPR 60 Billion
- Instrument Type: 30-day Deposit Collection Instrument

- Bidding System: NRB Online Bidding System
- Bidding Deadline: Bhadra 31, 2083, up to 3:00 PM
- Maturity Date (Principal & Interest Payment): Ashwin 30, 2083
Eligibility and Bidding Guidelines
- Eligible Institutions: Class “A” (Commercial Banks), Class “B” (Development Banks), and Class “C” (Finance Companies) financial institutions.
- Interest Rate Determination: Interest rate will be determined through a competitive bidding process among participating financial institutions.
- Minimum Bidding Amount: Minimum bid amount is set at NPR 100 Million (NPR 10 Crore).
- Maximum Bidding Amount: Bids can be placed in multiples of NPR 100 Million up to the total offered amount of NPR 60 Billion.
