NRB to Sell Treasury Bills Worth More Than 18 Billion Rupees

Nepal Rastra Bank is going to sell treasury bills worth more than 18 billion rupees. The Central Bank is going to sell treasury bills worth 18 billion 25 crore rupees through Bulakbol till 3 pm on Monday.

The Central Bank also sold treasury bills worth 19 billion 10 crore rupees on Asoj 13th.

Treasury bills are short-term government bonds used to raise internal debt for one year or less. There are four types of treasury bills:28 days, and 91 days. 182 days, and 364 days. According to Rashtra Bank, till three o’clock in the afternoon, it was possible to purchase treasury bills of that amount through Bulakbol.

 Commercial banks, development banks, and finance companies will be allowed to participate in the purchase of treasury bills with a release date of Asoj 25.

Those treasuries to be sold are worth 5 billion for 28 days, 8 billion for 91 days, 2.25 billion for 182 days, and 3 billion for 364 days.

 The maturity period of these treasuries is respectively set on 2nd Kartik 2079, 26th Poush 2079, 12th Chaitra 2079, and 23rd Asoj 2080 and these treasuries are under old renewal, according to the National Bank.
