Oppo K7 5G

6th August 2020, Kathmandu

Last year’s K5 has finally got its successor as Oppo has launched the new Oppo K7 5G. Yes, the smartphone comes with 5G support and that’s not the only interesting feature about it. So, let’s take a dive into the specs, features, availability, and expected price of Oppo K7 5G in Nepal.

Oppo K7 5G: Overview

Design & Display

With a slight change in the resolution and aspect ratio, the Oppo K7 5G retains the 6.4-inches Color AMOLED screen. It comes with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 px and a 20:9 aspect ratio.

The waterdrop style notch on the front houses its selfie camera. Just like its predecessor, it too features an in-display fingerprint scanner.

If you pay closer attention to the back, you’ll notice that the quad-cameras are placed in a vertical arrangement.

The Quad-Camera Setup

Shockingly, Oppo has downgraded the camera quality on the Oppo K7 5G that has a 48MP primary lens. The Oppo K5 had a 64MP sensor as its primary camera.

However, the primary lens on the K7 is wide-angle and is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP B/W sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The smartphone will also be able to record videos at 1080p@30/60fps FHD besides 4K@30fps.

The selfie shooter is a 32MP lens with f/2.0 aperture.

Performance & Memory

Finally, an upgrade!

The Oppo K7 5G features the Snapdragon 765G coupled with Adreno 620 GPU. The chipset has a built-in 5G modem and along with 8GB of RAM, it will ensure a smooth performance.

For storage, users can choose between 128GB and 256GB storage. However, it doesn’t come with an expansion slot for memory.

The K7 5G smartphone will run on ColorOS 7 on top of Android 10 out of the box.

Battery & Extras

Under the hood, the Oppo K7 5G has a 4025mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. It has a Type-C port for charging.

The connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi, 4G-LTE, NFC, GPS, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
