Dr. Bhesh Raj Thapa has honored with Science and Technology Youth Award.
Dr. Bhesh Raj Thapa, Associate Professor at Universal Engineering and Science College, has received the 2077 Science and Technology Youth Award from the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST).
Every year, NAST awards young Nepalese scientists. The award is based on a number of research papers, impact factors and research, and the role of the international community in Nepal.
This year’s award goes to Dr. Bhesh Raj Thapa for his scholarly contribution in the field of water resource research.
He received the title of “Nepal Vidya Bhushan (A)” from the Government of Nepal in recognition of his excellent research work. He holds a Ph.D. in Integrated River Basin Management from Yamansi University in Japan.

The 44th Prajana Sabha of NAST honored academic personalities who have contributed through research in various fields for the year 2077 BS. In the presence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Krishna Gopal Shrestha, Dr. Thapa received the award.
