Celebrate Software Freedom Day 2016 to Encourage the Use of Free and Open Software. This year also finally Software Freedom Day’s 16 come in our Land. There is no bound of happiness for every ICT lovers to celebrate this day. I guess everyone is waiting for this day and now all your patience has become fruitful. Software Freedom Day’s 16 is going to be celebrated throughout the world. But in Kathmandu, Nepal, a special program is going to be conducted at NCIT, Balkumari, Kathmandu. And this program would be started at 9 am onwards. So give your enthusiastic participation in it.
This program is once in a year so don’t miss this opportunity to know or enrich your knowledge about Software. Software Freedom Day (SFD) is a global event held on 3rd Saturday of September every year. So for this year, 2016, SFD is going to be celebrated on 17th September 2016. During this program at NCIT, you would get a chance to meet with Mahabir Pun and with Tech Mouri from Techrise, so don’t miss this opportunity to interact with them.
For this year, the Global theme is “FREEDOM MATTERS!” and the main aim of this is to increase awareness of Open Source and its virtues and encouraging its use. Besides, it is also a day to celebrate the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) Philosophy together with Nepal Open Source Klub (NOK).
So come and let’s celebrate this day together with national fame and personalities at NCIT.
