Siddhartha Bank Limited is one of the largest private commercial bank in Nepal. The bank is an ‘A’ class commercial bank licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank.

It has 180 branches all across the nation with its head office in Kathmandu which provides entire commercial banking services and remittance service.

Siddhartha Bank Limited has urged to beware of fake social media handles. The bank said that fake pages and profiles have been created on social media by misusing the name and logo of Siddhartha Bank.

Recently, there has been a growing trend of creating fake pages on Facebook in the name of various banks, companies, government agencies, etc., including Nepal Rastra Bank, and capturing users’ personal information through phishing.

 On social media, ‘Phishers’ have been using various temptations and temptations to deceive the user, just as they have deceived the fish with bait.

In this way, they take the account under their control by tricking them into sending it to a separate link and asking them to keep their mobile number, username, password and other information.

Therefore, the bank has requested to follow only the official page and profile.
