Two People Test Positive For Coronavirus In RDT

SAPTARI:  On Tuesday, two people who returned back from Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi, India showed positive results after undergoing the rapid diagnostic test (RDT).

According to Dr. Ranjit Jha, the senior consultant of Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital, Rajbiraj the samples of the two persons tested positive for coronavirus when tested through the RDT kit on Tuesday night.

There were seven people who attended the religious assembly in Delhi, India. From the seven, one each is from Tilathi Koiladi, Krishna Sawarana, Agnisair, and Bishnupur rural municipalities and 3 from Khadag municipality. All the seven performed rapid diagnostic tests and two of them tested positive. Those two belong to Khadag Municipality and Tilathi Koidali Municipality respectively, informed Dr. Chuman Lal Das, Hospital’s Medical Superintendent.

 The Hospital has sent the samples of the throat swab of all the seven people to the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences Dharan for further tests. Meanwhile, the two people with positive results are in isolation at the Hospital in Rajbiraj. The remaining five have been sent to quarantine at Khadag Municipality.
