Viber is also known as Rakuten Viber is a cross-platform voice-over IP and instant messaging software application. It is freeware for Android, iOS, Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.

Users of Viber are registered and identified through a cellular telephone number. Also, the service is available on the desktop without needing mobile connectivity. Moreover, it allows users to exchange media such as images and video records, and also provides a paid international landline and mobile calling service.

Viber Lens in collaboration with Snapchat

The most popular messaging app in Nepal Viber has launched a new feature called Viber Lens. This feature is in collaboration with Viber with Snapchat.

It is launched Via virtual launch event on September 9, 2021. This feature is available in Nepal, Vietnam, and the Philippines in the APAC region exclusively for the first time.

Viber’s Brand-New Feature Viber Lens in Nepal

Viber Lens lets its users put an AR filter on their faces. This feature is similar to Snapchat. As well as you can share those as an image, video, or GIF. also, currently, the Viber app offers 20 varieties of Viber Lenses to choose from. Also, Viber will implement different local lenses in partnership with local brands and celebrities.

Viber is also planning to add at least 20 more lenses every month. Also, businesses will have the opportunity to create their own exclusive lenses on Viber.

How to use the new Viber Lens?

In order to use this Viber Lens feature, follow the following steps below.

  • Install the Viber app and update if needed.
  • Open your Viber app.
  • Register your mobile number.
  • Open your desired chat.
  • Tap the camera icon.
  • Then, the Viber Lens will start downloading.
  • After the download is complete, you can try different lenses by tapping on them.

Nepal has more than 10 million Viber users. There was over 26% of growth in users last year in Nepal. Therefore, Viber chose Nepal to initiate its new Viber Lens feature.
