Prabhu Insurance Limited Fourth Quarter Financial Report Fiscal Year 2082/83 Overview

Prabhu Insurance Limited has published strong financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2082/83, reporting a significant improvement in profitability.

According to the company unaudited financial statements, its net profit increased by nearly 20 percent compared to the previous fiscal year.
Net Profit and Earnings Per Share Increase
During the review period, Prabhu Insurance Limited posted a net profit of 246.44 million rupees. This represents an increase of 19.71 percent compared to 205.86 million rupees earned in the same period of fiscal year 2081/82.
Along with the encouraging growth in profit, the company earnings per share EPS also improved. The EPS increased from 11.13 rupees in the previous year to 13.33 rupees by the end of Ashad.
Capital Structure and Reserve Funds Movement
The paid up capital of Prabhu Insurance Limited increased by 28.27 percent to reach 1.85 billion rupees.
The insurance fund grew by 20.51 percent to 316.40 million rupees, compared to 262.56 million rupees in the previous year. The catastrophe reserve fund also increased by 12.17 percent to reach 113.5 million rupees.
However, retained earnings declined by 75.74 percent, falling to 104.1 million rupees.
Insurance Premium Earned and Total Income
In terms of core business growth, the company recorded a 6.42 percent increase in net insurance premium earned. Prabhu Insurance Limited collected 694.5 million rupees in net insurance premiums during the last fiscal year.
Total income increased by 8.03 percent to reach 1.01 billion rupees during the review period.
Total expenses saw a slight improvement, declining by 1.05 percent over the course of the fiscal year.
Claim Payments and Expenses Drop
During the review period, total claim payments made by the company declined by 10.03 percent to stand at 501.2 million rupees.
Agent commission expenses also saw a significant reduction. Agent commissions fell by 31.90 percent down to 35.1 million rupees.
According to the financial statement, investment income recorded a marginal 1.78 percent decline, reaching 83.2 million rupees.
