You would have been bored staying in your home all day. Getting out and hiking is enjoyable. We generally choose to stay at home during our holidays and later regret it. We also want to stay at home as we don’t have a proper guide to go somewhere.

Like everyone is busy with their works, and all you have to do is stay at home and watch TV or use the Internet. But what if you had something to guide you in your outdoor activities.

As we can understand what’s it like to be cooped up at home, we thought of providing some of the cool apps that you don’t want to miss when you are out on this holidays. Just make sure to install these useful Apps and don’t forget to take your Smartphone with you as it makes you smart as well.

Off-road Navigation App

If you are heading for the road and you want to know the topographical maps where you can go and enjoy, Google won’t be helping you. We recommend BackCountry Navigator PRO GPS ($10) for Android for your visit.

If you are hiking into the wild, You’ll want topographical maps and offline GPS navigation. This App provides you Topographical maps for the U.S. and supports GPS navigation, so you don’t need cell service. It is more convenient as it will work as a GPS for you.

Motion X GPS ($1) App is the app we recommend for the IO users. It has got a good selection of Topographical maps and marine charts. With GPS navigation it helps you crawl into the wild.

The cell service is also not needed in this app. However, you will need to purchase the maps and download them so that you can view later on. Try Outdoor Navigation ($5) for a range of free plans and a digital compass, if you are using a Windows phone.

However, this App is limited as it doesn’t provide Topographical maps. The App is limited on the Windows platform.

BlackBerry users should try Navigator ($7). It pulls in free map data and should be used for offline GPS navigation.

Now you have known these cool Apps, go out there and have fun far from this busy scheduled life.
