Birat Agri to Issue IPO Appoints NIC Asia Capital as Issue Manager

Birat Agri Limited has signed a bilateral agreement with NIC Asia Capital Limited to appoint the capital market firm as its issue and sales manager for its upcoming Initial Public Offering (IPO).

Under the agreement, NIC Asia Capital will provide end-to-end institutional advisory and merchant banking services to facilitate the public share issuance in compliance with existing financial regulations.
Company Overview, Operational Infrastructure, and IPO Capital Utilization
Birat Agri operates as an integrated commercial agriculture and aquaculture company with its main business office located in Itahari-13, Sunsari.
Aquaculture Operations:
The company conducts commercial integrated farming and fish production across more than 150 ponds spanning over 100 hectares of water body area in the Morang and Sunsari districts.
Existing Aquafeed Production:
Birat Agri currently operates a modern fish feed manufacturing plant with a daily production capacity of 25 metric tons in the Khanar Industrial Area of Itahari-13, Sunsari, producing floating and sinking aquafeed.
IPO Proceeds Allocation:
The capital raised through the proposed public offering will be mobilized to expand production capacity, install modern processing technology, and build commercial infrastructure across the agricultural value chain.
Aquafeed Plant Expansion:
The company plans to construct an additional modern feed manufacturing facility with a daily capacity of 10 metric tons to produce nutrient-rich feed for aquatic animals and livestock alongside its existing floating feed operations.
Processing Plant Setup:
Plans are underway to establish an advanced processing facility for Pangasius fish to manufacture, package, and market fish fillets and value-added aquatic products.
Integrated Business Model:
The expansion strategy aims to build a single cycle incorporating in-house fish farming, aquafeed production, modern processing, cold storage, packaging, and commercial distribution to support import substitution and job creation in Nepal’s aquaculture sector.
