Classic Tech is a licensed Internet Service Provider (ISP) and Network Service Provider (NSP) company of Nepal. Established in 2009 with the motto of “When Speed and Reliability Matter” where company focused mainly on post-sales service providing then high-speed internet.
The company started its business of internet service through wireless connectivity, named CT-Wi-Fi on Urban areas and has started providing broadband service over Fiber replacing Wireless connectivity all over Nepal.
Classic Tech used Nepal international Internet Gateway (NIIG) as its uplink to the internet in beginning days. However, it now owns International Private Leased Circuit (IPLC) network and connects to the internet through three different Point of Interconnections (POIs) with Bharati Airtel. During its various years of service, Classic Tech used Bharati Airtel, TATA Communications and SIFY as its upstream.
Classic Tech claimed to initiate the introduction of GPON technology in Nepal to provide faster internet through Fiber to the Home (FTTH) service. With three fully functional datacenters covering central, eastern and western regions, Classic Tech has expanded its service through 106 outlets in 74 districts.
With the increment in so called “Speed War” in Nepali internet market, Classic Tech introduced 1000Mbps internet package for the retail users, which is by far the highest internet speed provided by ISP to retail users.
Even though the governing body Nepal Telecom Authority has discouraged the internet speed above 100Mbps and has not given approval for such packages, ISP has been competing with each other to provide highest speed bandwidth possible.
With the new motto of “Chhoyo ki Chalyo” (refers “Connects when touched”), Classic Tech indicated to provide faster and reliable internet service to its users and thus has been increasing customer base in this competitive market.
