All labor approval processes for international employment will be done only online started. According to Hariram Nagila, information officer at the Foreign Employment Office, work has been done both in-person and online since last year.
“We’ve reintroduced technology to make all work linked to labor approval online in order to make it easier for service receivers and for us to accomplish our work, including data collection,” he said. He said that getting new labor approvals and renewals would be easier now that the program had improved significantly.
He stated that labor permit renewal applications can be submitted online from anywhere in the world and that documents can be retrieved online.
“As a result, the requirement to come to the office has been removed, as has the requirement for workers residing abroad to return to the nation for labor approval,” he explained.
