8th June 2021, Kathmandu

The monthly pension of retired civil servants will be credited directly to the person concerned through electronic fund transfer (EFT).

The system of online transactions is implemented from Sunday.

Comptroller and Auditor General Madhu Kumar Marasini inaugurated the system during a program organized at the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General on Sunday.

It is said that about 276,000 retired civil servants from civil servants, police, combatants, and teachers will directly benefit from this.

Speaking on the occasion, Comptroller and Auditor General Marasini said that the system would go a long way in implementing the e-Nepal concept of the Government of Nepal.

The development of this system would help in maintaining transparency and cost-effectiveness.

The government’s cash flow management effectiveness will also increase as a large amount of money will be spent by the government on pension management.

And the amount will be paid from the government fund to the concerned person’s account within time.
