Ncell to support Dhulikhel Hospital

Ncell, in collaboration with Dhulikhel Hospital, under the Kathmandu University, is organizing the Telemedicine and Health Informatics program.

According to Ncell, the program has been launched to provide quality healthcare services to the remote communities deprived of such services by adopting a method of delivering healthcare based on technology and statistics.

Under this initiative, Ncell will build the required telemedicine equipment and connectivity infrastructure for service flows and hand it to Dhulikhel Hospital. Also, Ncell will provide financial support to Dhulikhel Hospital for the purchase of other local supplies and services needed to operate the program for two years.

On behalf of Dhulikhel Hospital, human resources like doctors and counseling will be provided to assist in the operation of the program. The hospital will also carry out periodic training and monitoring activities to make the program successful.

Likewise, ‘Ncell, Dhulikhel Hospital-Kathmandu University Hospital Telemedicine and Healthcare Informatics Center’ will be established at Dhulikhel Hospital. This center will guide the latest innovations and tasks related to telemedicine and health informatics.

Andy Chong, Chief Executive Officer of Ncell and director of Dhulikhel Hospital, Dr. Ramesh Makaju have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) during a program on Monday to conduct telemedicine and healthcare informatics programs.
