In a remarkable achievement, Nepali students have showcased their exceptional talent on the global stage by securing top positions in the International Coding Competition 2024.

The event was organized by Distance Education Network in collaboration with Discovery Education Network UK and Edutech India. Competing against participants from India, Hong Kong, the Middle East, the UK, the USA, and Australia, Nepali students have brought pride to the nation.
Top Achievements by Nepali Students
A total of 9 students from Nepal qualified for the global competition, demonstrating their coding excellence. Here are the standout performers: Junior Block-Based Coding – Binayak Pangeni (Grade 4, Excelsior School) secured Global 2nd Place. Senior Block-Based Coding – Shreyash Khadgi (Grade 5, Meridian International School) secured Global 2nd Place. Python Coding – Krishna Rijal (Grade 8, Hi New Vision Academy) made Nepal proud by securing the Global 1st Place.
Event Overview & Participation
The International Coding Competition 2024 witnessed participation from hundreds of students worldwide. From Nepal, 400+ students submitted online projects, out of which 80 students advanced to the physical competition. Finally, 9 students qualified for the global finals, where they competed against the best minds in coding.
The event featured three major categories: Junior Block-Based Coding – Grades 2 to 4, Senior Block-Based Coding – Grade Python Coding – Grades 6 to 9
