It looks like no smartphone company wants to get left behind in the trend for launching 120Hz display devices. POCO launched the Poco X3 in India recently through a virtual event on the brand’s social media platform and YouTube. It might soon be making it’s way to Nepal as well. So, let’s check out the features, specs, and expected price of Poco X3 in Nepal.
Poco X3 Overview
The Poco X3 was originally pinned as a rival to the OnePlus Nord. The key highlight of this device is that it includes a new chipset inside. The global variant of this smartphone is called the “POCO X3 NFC”.
Design and Display
The Poco X3 comes with a curved back design that blends with the middle frame. The back panel has a two-tone finish with a large ‘POCO’ branding towards the bottom. The quad-camera setup at the back is quite unique with flagship-grade specs.
On the front, it sports a 6.67-inch IPS LCD screen with FHD+ resolution. Another highlight of the Poco X3 is that it boasts a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz.
There’s also a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 against scratch and drop.
Cameras
The optics on the Poco X3 have flagship-grade specs. The quad-camera setup includes a 64MP Sony IMX682 primary camera, a 13MP ultra-wide angle sensor with the FOV of 119 degrees, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.
The module also includes an LED flash. On the other hand. The selfie camera is a 20MP sensor that resides in the punch-hole cutout.
Hardware and Performance
As mentioned earlier, the hardware on the Poco X3 uses the Snapdragon 732G chipset, making it the first smartphone to do so. It is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
For the graphics requirements, we get the Adreno 618 GPU. The LiquidCool technology on the Poco X3 takes care of the thermals, reducing the temperature by up to 6 degrees.
The smartphone runs on MIUI 12 for Poco, on top of Android 10.
Battery and Extras
Under the hood, Poco X3 is equipped with a 5160mAh battery that supports fast charging at 33W over USB-C. Xiaomi claims that it can charge the phone up to the max in 65 minutes, or 62 percent in half an hour.
The fingerprint scanner is mounted on the side and the phone has an IP53 rating for water and dust resistance. For connectivity, it includes WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a 3.55mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.

Poco X3 Price in Nepal, Availability
The device will be available in India at a starting price of INR 16,999 for the 6/64GB variant. We expect the Poco X3 price in Nepal to be around NPR 28,990 for the 6/64GB variant.

The device will go on sale via Flipkart from September 29. However, there’s no confirmation from Xiaomi Nepal regarding the launch of Poco X3 in Nepal. In fact, we still await the launch of Poco F2 Pro in the country.
For now, the Poco X3 is available in two color options – Cobalt Blue and Shadow Gray.
