Chinese electronics maker Xiaomi is going to launch a budget Tablet in the Nepali market on November 2. The new Redmi Pad is hitting the market. The price of the Redmi Pad in Nepal for the 6GB variant is Rs. 34,999.
Let’s look at some of the interesting features of the new Redmi Pad:
Display:
Redmi Pad is built around a 10.61-inch screen with a 2K resolution. The screen is based on LCD technology. It boasts a 10-bit color depth and typical brightness of 400 nits. Above all, the Redmi Pad has a 90Hz refresh rate which is remarkable for a budget tablet.
Body:
Redmi Pad comes in a flat design with a 7.1cm thickness and 465 grams weight. The back is said to be metal.
Chipset:
It features the new Helio G99 from MediaTek. This chip is based on the power-efficient 6nm process and features two Cortex-A76 (@2.2GHz) and six Cortex-A55 cores (@2.0GHz). This chip enables great gaming all day, plus big cameras, fast displays, smooth streaming, and reliable global connectivity.
Memory:
Redmi Pad will be available in three variants: 3GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB, and 6GB/128GB. Storage can be expanded up to 1TB as per the choice.
OS:
On the software side, the Redmi Pad ships with Android 12 out of the box with MIUI for Pad on the top. This particular version of the MIUI comes with a dock and features like multi-windows, floating windows, and split-screen.
Camera:
Redmi Pad has two 8MP cameras – one on the back and the other at the front. The one on the front has a wider Field of View of 105-degree. It even supports Focus Frame which intelligently adjusts the frame to include all the subjects and their movements.
Battery:
The tablet is fueled by an 8,000mAh battery which supports 18W charging. However, a 22.5W charger in the box. Xiaomi is promising 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of security patches on its latest budget Redmi tablet.
The tablet is set to hit the market in three colors: Graphite Grey, Moonlight Silver, and Mint Green. With this specification, Redmi Pad is the most affordable tablet in the market.
