Let’s get into the specs and features of the newly released Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 in Nepal.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 – Overview

Galaxy Watch 3 represents the next generation of premium smartwatch powered to manage your routine and take control over your health.

Design and Display

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 Display

The Galaxy Watch 3 is built with premium materials and a slimmed-down version of the popular rotating bezel. This premium smartwatch is available in two size variants – 41mm and 45mm.

The watch has two side buttons that control back and home functions.

Comparing it with the Galaxy Watch, it is 14% thinner, 15% lighter, and 8% smaller. Talking about the body, the watch comes with a stainless steel body and genuine leather straps.

With all of that, the 41mm variant of Galaxy Watch 3 weighs 48.2 grams, while the 45mm variant weighs 53.8 grams.

Heading to the display, Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 flaunts a 1.2-inch AMOLED display on the 41mm version. Meanwhile, the 45mm features a slightly bigger 1.4inch AMOLED display.

The 360 x 360 pixels screen gives a sharp and bright display. Moreover, the screen is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass DX.

Also, it has an IP68 rating which makes it Water and Dust resistant.

Fitness and Health Features

Let’s move on from the aesthetics and focus on why the Galaxy Watch 3 is worth its price. It has a lot of interesting health features.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is able to track a total of 40 activities, out of which it allows automatic tracking of seven activities.

What does it mean?

Basically, you won’t have to manually select the kind of exercise you will be doing beforehand.

There’s also a Blood pressure monitoring feature on this watch. However, this feature along with built-in ECG is only available in the Korean market and will soon arrive in the US.

With the blood oxygen feature, measuring and tracking of oxygen saturation over time will ensure fitness and wellness.

Furthermore, the VO2 max will follow your cardio progress to provide insight into oxygen consumption.

That’s not the end of it! If the watch detects a potential fall, it will alert pre-designated contacts immediately to ensure your safety.

Finally, if you are someone who enjoys working out at home, Samsung Health offers more than 120 training programs that you can track with your Samsung Galaxy Watch 3.

Hardware and Battery

There’s no change in the processor, which means that Samsung has gone with Exynos 9110 SoC. As for the storage, it comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5, WiFi, NFC, GPS, and LTE (available in select models).

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 runs on the company’s own Tizen OS 5.5.

As far as the battery is concerned, the smaller 41mm variant packs a 247mAh battery. Meanwhile, the 45mm variant packs a 340mAh battery.

According to Samsung, the bigger variant can last up to two days whereas the 41mm can give one day of use.

Buyers can charge the smartwatch with WPC-based wireless charging.
