Sanima Bank Reports Strong Financial Growth With 38.01 Percent Net Profit Surge

Sanima Bank Limited has delivered a robust financial performance, registering a 38.01 percent increase in net profit after tax to reach NPR 3.55 billion.

The bank’s improved operational efficiency and earning capacity contributed to a strong uptick in key profitability metrics across the financial period.
Key profitability highlights include:
- Earnings Per Share (EPS): Climbed significantly to NPR 25.75, up from NPR 18.94 reported during the corresponding period of the previous year.
- Return on Equity (ROE): Expanded to 14.39 percent, compared to 11.70 percent in the same period last year, reflecting improved shareholder value creation.
- Distributable Profit: Total distributable profit per share reached NPR 20.85, rising from NPR 15.48 recorded in the previous year.
Solid Deposit Base And Expanding Credit Portfolio
The bank experienced healthy balance sheet expansion, driven by continuous growth in both core deposit collection and lending activities.
- Net Loans and Advances: Grew by 11.19 percent to stand at NPR 203.99 billion.
- Total Deposits: Increased by 10.84 percent, reaching a total deposit volume of NPR 249.93 billion.
Improved Asset Quality And Capital Strength
Sanima Bank maintained a cautious risk management approach while expanding its credit operations, resulting in an improvement in overall asset quality.
Gross Non-Performing Assets (NPA) dropped to 2.87 percent, down from 3.01 percent recorded in the corresponding period last year.
Furthermore, the bank retained a strong capital cushion to support future growth and absorb potential operational risks:
- Tier 1 Capital Adequacy Ratio: Stood at 10.17 percent.
- Total Capital Adequacy Ratio: Maintained at 13.10 percent, comfortably above regulatory minimum requirements.
