National ICT Innovation Award

Sibjan Chaulangai has been awarded the National ICT Innovation Award 2022.

On the occasion of National ICT Day, the government presented Chaulangai with a cash award of one lakh rupees as well as the National ICT Innovation Award.

For the first time in Nepal, Sibjan Chaulagai launched a useful SMS-based platform for farmers in 2014, emphasizing the use of technology in agriculture.

Chaulagai had involved over 500,000 farmers in 20 districts in collaboration with various organizations, including ISIMOD.

In 2017, he also released the Krishi Guru app. Krishi Guru App has brought farmers and stakeholders together by providing vital information on over 100 crops and domestic animals.

His efforts have enabled millions of farmers to gain access to technology through the development and use of various applications.
