Sony Group is investing $250 million in the Fortnite Creator, Epic Games! This deal gives Sony a 1.4 percent interest in the game development studio and gives Epic Games a valuation of $17.86 billion!

The Sony Group recently changed its name and the company is looking to diversify its investment. With the collaboration with Epic, the company hints on making more real-time 3D like games such as Fortnite!

The President and CEO of Sony, Kenichiro Yoshida explains that with the new investment with Epic Games, they wish to explore further collaborations to bring delightful products and add value to the consumers. The optimistic CEO also says that they want to contribute not just in games but other evolving digital entertainment platforms!

With the mega collaboration of two big industry players, there are endless possibilities! The impressive performance of the PlayStation 5 and Fortnite, what more are we in treats for?

Both Sony and Epic are aware of other digital platforms which just makes us wonder what new creative fonts are going to pull off and win our hearts. The gamers all over the world have an absolute love for the iconic PlayStation 5 and Fortnite.
