Bagmati Province is one of the seven provinces of Nepal established by the constitution of Nepal. It is the most populous province and fifth-largest province by area.
Recently, the Bagmati State Government has allocated a budget for the coming Fiscal Year.
The allocated budget is for the monitoring and evaluation of the state including digital state thinking, transportation management, driver’s license, industry, commerce.
The budget is allocated also for business registration and other services. The services will come into operation through electronic means.
Similarly, a necessary budget is allocated for the operation and management of information banks to make information and communication within the state effective, systematic, and disciplined.
Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Kailash Dhungel has announced a budget of Rs. 10 crores.
The budget is for the establishment and operation of the information bank. Also for the establishment of autonomous mass media house in the budget of the coming fiscal year 2078/79 BS.
The use of information technology in public service delivery will promote the initiative.
There will also be arrangements to propose and approve the budget through an electronic system for money transfer and program amendment.
Bagmati Pradesh will develop an integrated revenue information system to make revenue collection realistic. As well as it will also help to improve the information system in the Transport Management Office.
Similarly, Rs.35 crore is allocated for the expansion of a technology-friendly education system in schools.
The allocated budget is also for the Establishment of information and technology laboratories, the establishment of science and thematic laboratories.
The state government has also allocated a budget to establish and implement the state education management information system in the coming fiscal year.
In the coming fiscal year, the state will establish a state science and technology fund to encourage young scientists in the research, development, and innovation of new knowledge and technology.
In addition, arrangements will be made to transfer the amount in the Young Scientists Promotion Fund to this fund.
Science and technology funds will be beneficial for the students and will help encourage innovations of new ideas and research.
Science and Technology hold the key to the progress and development of any nation.
