Jocial

7th July 2021, Kathmandu

‘Jocial’ has been very popular on social media for some time now. Many are promoting it as a way to earn a dollar.

It is being marketed saying that you can earn 10 to 15 dollars by sharing two to three posts on your social network in a week. Do you really earn dollars by sharing information about popular brand products on social media and posting the same post on Jocial’s website?

Is it official? Is it official that Josiel is being talked about saying that you can share two ads a week and get 40 or 60 dollars per month according to the subscription plan? Before understanding all this, it is important to understand what Jocial’s motive is.

What is Jocial’s motive?

Jocial identifies as “influencer marketing”. Initially, a referral link is required to log in. But if there is no such link, you will not be able to log in.

Even if you log in using a friend’s referral link, you should start with a subscription plan to earn money. You have to pay for that. The price varies according to the package.

Of which 60 dollars, i.e., more than Rs. 7,000 for 3 months and 240 dollars for about Rs. 28,500 can be purchased for a one-year subscription. After doing so, the temptation is to earn 40 to 60 dollars a month by sharing two to three ads on Facebook every week.

If the user connects to another person through their referral link, they will receive an additional three dollars. Similarly, adding three members will get two hundred dollars, and adding six members will get one thousand dollars, adding nine members will get two thousand dollars, and adding 12 members will get five thousand dollars, and adding 15 members will get ten thousand dollars.

It is also mentioned that adding 18 people through your referral code will give you the opportunity to be appointed to the Ambassador Club along with 20,000 dollars. According to Mahara, an ambassador of Jocial, a person appointed to the Ambassador Club can earn Rs 50,000 to Rs 1.5 million a month.

Influence marketing is more like a networking business like Unity-Harbor. These offers are just the tip of the iceberg.

Does Money Really Come?

We have tried to understand this with some users. Some even said that money was coming. Many said the money was pending and there was no certainty whether it would come or not.

The question is whether the pending money will come or not. But what is the source of the money coming? People who have come in contact with us, who have linked themselves to Jocial, said that they have brought it from a person above them.

This means that the bank is not connected anywhere in the middle of Jocial’s system. Nor do they have access to the main agent. And we asked Sajan Mahara (name change), who identifies himself as Jocial’s ambassador, about how users get paid.

“Jocial has his own bank,” he said. Not only that, Jocial’s community has been formed in Nepal. The money you earn can be shared in that community. ‘

However, he says that the money for such transactions will not come from the bank. Some use wallets and some take cash.

That means if you earn 50 dollars, you can’t get those 50 dollars at once. Traders say that you can earn money by doing five dollars or 10 dollars.

Is the transaction in Jocial legal or illegal?

As this issue is related to networking as well as online fraud, we spoke to Krishna Prasad Koirala, spokesperson of the Nepal Police Crime Branch. He says, “There have been no complaints of fraud in this regard so far. However, information on this subject has been received from many. On that basis, we are in the process of understanding. “

He said it was a different matter whether the user was created or not, but legally it was illegal. “It’s part of the networking business. The Government of Nepal has outlawed networking.

On the other hand, the company seems to be registered in the UK and not in Nepal. In this regard, any unregistered business in Nepal is illegal. However, Jocial’s representatives claim that it is not networking.

The referral link needed to log in is sufficient to confirm whether it is business networking or not. The more members you add, the more you earn, isn’t it networking?

To this question, Ambassador Mahara says, “Since it only happens on social media, it cannot be called networking.”

Asked what happens when the company is not registered in Nepal and the transactions from it come under investigation, he said, “It will be a small business.” Whose action in that? Not only that, we have made it possible to do business by keeping PAN numbers if anyone wants.

And when asked if you have a PAN number, he says, “I didn’t.” To be kept in the coming days. There are also plans to register a company in Nepal in the future. ‘He also revealed that the income from Jocial will come from bitcoin mining.

He said, “Even though it is based on Bitcoin, in Nepal, Bitcoin is not traded and is made available in Nepal by bringing money through agents.” For which there are many heads above me. ‘

This makes it clear that Bitcoin is being mined through Jocial. At the same time, this issue is also related to foreign exchange. So, we talked to Nepal Rastra Bank spokesperson Dev Kumar Dhakal.

He said, “Any work should be fully informed, including where it is being conducted and where it is being traded from.” If not, it will be considered invalid. We can only clarify this by further study. ‘
