Nepal Doorsanchar Company Ltd. is popularly known as Nepal Telecom or NTC. It is a state-owned telecommunication service provider in Nepal, which has 91.49 percent of the government share.
Nepal Telecom has urged everyone to be wary of other ‘fake pages’ that look like their own on Facebook.
Nepal Telecom has also asked not to give any information on the pages that look like its own and avoid phishing.
Fake news is false or misleading information presented as news that is very harmful and dangerous. In addition, it brings an impact on the reputation of the company or entity.
The company recently announced that it has its only official Facebook page. In addition to this, misleading information is being published from unauthorized pages with similar names and content that look like yours, and you have been warned not to follow those pages.
Nepal Telecom urges everyone not to provide any details on such pages as misleading information is being published on various social networks by using unauthorized pages using the name, logo, and other content of Nepal Telecom.
The notice is said on Telecom’s Facebook page.
Everyone is requested to follow the official pages and be aware of the fake and false information from the other fake pages.
