The Nepal Telecommunications Authority recently ordered that all internet service providers have a toll-free number. Now, Internet service providers should have provided a toll-free number to their customers.
At first, only four service providers offered toll-free numbers while other didn’t. But when NTA has taken stepped further, now most of the service provider has provided toll-free number.
The authority has advised the service provider to retain the toll-free number in order to implement the license requirement and settle customer complaints. In addition, the customer’s complaint must be resolved within the time period specified.
The purpose of this is to enable the customer to file their complaint to the service provider at any time.
