Cubes in Space NASO

Nepal Astronomical Society (NASO) is organizing a workshop for the global competition ‘Cubes in Space’ is about to take place in Nepal. The workshop will be a five-week special workshop start from April 10 to May 15.

In collaboration with the American organization idoodleedu Inc, NASO organizing a special 5-week workshop for Nepali students to participate in ‘Cubes in Space NASO 2021.’ This will create more international-level opportunities for Nepali students. This is the first time that Nepal is participating in this program.

This special workshop will open to students between 11 to 18 years old who are studying at the school level. For the first four weeks, students will be able to participate in the program from home. But for the fifth-week candidates are required to come to the valley. In order to reach out to other candidates from all over the country.

Cubes in Space is the only global competition, offered at no cost. For students between 11-18 years of age to design and propose experiments to launch into space or a near-space environment on a NASA-sounding rocket and zero-pressure scientific balloon.

This year, 50 students will participate in this workshop in Nepal. Where they will be given various space science skills, knowledge about various space environments, and their vivid aspects. Two cubes will be sent to the United States this year.
